Our charter is sponsored by the Educational Service center of Central Ohio, whose mission is to engage disenfranchised students, low income youth, first-generation college goers, English language learners, students of color and other young people underrepresented in higher education in a curriculum that has the potential for qualified students to earn college credit. Early College Academy is on a 4-day work week, Monday - Thursday. Fridays are optional half day opportunity to work for additional pay by tutoring students, contacting parents, and an opportunity to work on assignments,, career counseling and to close the academic gap.

Minimum requirements: Valid Ohio High School Teaching licenseAbility to work with diverse cultural backgroundsEffective verbal and written communication skillsFlexible, resourceful, enthusiastic and high energy levelMust have valid driver's license and personal transportation
Responsibilities:
Be willing to create engaging instructional activities that go beyond textbook learningBe competent in all areas of Ohio Graduation AssessmentsOnce weekly Professional Development meeting for facultyBe willing to use technology effectively in the classroomBe willing and able to team with colleaguesCommit to students and the ultimate goal of High School graduationMaintain accurate data and records to document all activities and services providedAnalyze quarterly grades, district assessments for student progressMentor and follow through with the identified students over a sustained period of timeEstablishes and maintains cooperative relationships with students, school personnel and familiesAll other duties assigned by district administration and/or

Education:
Bachelors or Masters from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
Experience:
Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade level preferred, but not mandatory.
