Job Description

Remnant Christian Schools is a growing private Christian school in the Oklahoma City area committed to academic excellence rooted in a biblical worldview. About the Role We are looking for an experienced teacher to lead our middle and high school math and science instruction. This is a hands-on, engaging classroom, and we are looking for someone who enjoys helping students truly understand the material rather than simply move through it. Mathematics You will teach middle school and high school math, including Algebra I, using a "Thinking Classroom" approach. Rather than relying on lecture, you will design lessons that get students reasoning, collaborating, and working through problems together. We are looking for a teacher who is comfortable facilitating this kind of active learning and giving students individualized attention. Science Science is taught through a mix of interactive lessons, experiments, labs, and STEM activities. We want students doing science, not just reading about it, and we are looking for a teacher who enjoys bringing concepts to life through hands-on learning. Responsibilities Teach middle school and high school mathematics, including Algebra I Lead interactive science instruction including experiments, labs, and STEM activities Give students individualized attention and support their growth Maintain an engaging, well-organized classroom environment Serve as a consistent Christian example to students in word and conduct Faith Commitment This is a Christian school, and faith is central to everything we do. The right candidate must be an active, practicing Christian whose life reflects their beliefs. Being a godly example to students is a primary expectation of this role. You will be discipling young people, not simply instructing them. What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience (starting at $46k but can increase based on relevant experience) Dedicated lunch and preparation time during school hours A mission-driven community that values both academic rigor and faith The opportunity to help build a program and make a lasting impact on students Requirements A committed Christian who sees teaching as a calling and ministry Experienced in teaching math required, science a plus Familiarity with or willingness to learn the Thinking Classroom methodology Organized, engaged, and prepared Genuinely enjoys working with middle school and high school students and holds them to high expectations of conduct and behavior
