Candidates are being considered for the ranks of Instructor of Practice and Assistant Professor of Practice.
Responsibilities:
Teach courses in the Health, Nutrition, and Exercise Science Department Develop and deliver course materials, including learning objectives, instructional content, and assessments Provide academic and professional advising to students Engage in department, college, university, and service activities Participate in university and department open houses and meet with prospective students Contribute to the ongoing development, assessment, and evaluation of the Exercise Science curriculum Support laboratory operations and instructional activities within the Exercise Science program, with responsibilities assigned based on departmental needs and individual expertise Contribute to the promotion and visibility of laboratory services through the department website and social media platforms Collaborate in maintaining and coordinating laboratory testing schedules Participate in and/or support faculty and graduate student research activities, with opportunities for involvement in study design, data collection, analysis, and dissemination based on interest and workload
Minimum Requirements:
a minimum of a Master's degree in a related field Current National Strength and Conditioning Association, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist credential (NSCA CSCS) a commitment to the mission and core values of the University previous teaching and/or clinical experience in Exercise Science-related coursework/topics Experience conducting physiological, biomechanical, and/or strength and conditioning assessments
Preferred Qualifications:
teaching experience at the collegiate level preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to the required CSCS credential, hold the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential Marywood University is a comprehensive Catholic University sponsored by the Congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
