reviews $15•$25 an hour•Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate MS/HS Math and Science educator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and science, with the ability to engage students in critical thinking and problem-solving through innovative teaching methods. This position involves developing and implementing curriculum that meets the needs of diverse learners while fostering a love for learning in both subjects. Duties Develop comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards for math and science subjects, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Life Science, and Biology . Conduct engaging laboratory experiments that enhance students' understanding of scientific concepts. Facilitate classroom discussions and activities that encourage student participation and collaboration. Assess student progress through various evaluation methods and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and share best practices for teaching math and science. Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student performance and classroom activities. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Science, Education, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus. Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts including Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Life Science, and Biology Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored for middle school and high school students. Proven ability to work effectively with students of varying abilities and backgrounds. Familiarity with laboratory techniques and safety protocols. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. A commitment to fostering an engaging learning environment that promotes curiosity and exploration in math and science. Experience conducting research or involvement in educational projects is preferred.
