Unit I Salary Range:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Eligibility for MSDE teacher licensure in the appropriate field; content knowledge in the field of specialization. Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including empathy, teamwork, conflict resolution, critical thinking, and emotional control; maintain organization and punctuality. Understanding and commitment to thegoals and values of Washington County Public Schools.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education or work experience in aerospace or aeronautical science fields. Demonstrated knowledge of aviation safety standards, protocols, and regulatory compliance (FAA regulations). Hands-on experience working with aircraft avionics systems and related technologies. Private Pilot Knowledge Test certification or FAA UAS Part 107 Remote Pilot certification. Prior experience in a Career and Technical Education (CTE) classroom or industry-based instructional setting. Familiarity with current aerospace industry trends, tools, and emerging technologies. Ability to integrate real-world aviation applications into curriculum design and project-based learning. Strong commitment to student safety, particularly within lab and simulation environments.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
These expectations outline the physical and mental demands required to successfully perform the essential job functions.  Teacher performance is evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of professional personnel.
