Biology Instructor USphere Education Irvine, CA Job Details Part-time $40 - $60 an hour 4 hours ago Qualifications Biology Molecular Biology Anatomy knowledge Working with middle schoolers Teaching Parent-teacher conferences (communication methods) Full Job Description Job Summary USphere Education Service is seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Biology Instructor to provide high-quality instruction to middle school and high school students. The Biology Instructor will deliver engaging lessons in biology and life sciences, support students in achieving academic excellence, and help prepare students for school coursework, honors programs, AP Biology, and other standardized assessments. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong subject-matter expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering student growth in a supportive learning environment. Duties and Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging biology lessons aligned with U.S. academic standards and individual student learning goals. Teach a variety of biology topics, including cell biology, genetics, ecology, evolution, human anatomy and physiology, molecular biology, and environmental science. Provide one-on-one and small-group instruction in both in-person and online settings. Assess student performance through assignments, quizzes, practice exams, and progress evaluations. Create customized lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to students' academic needs and learning styles. Prepare students for school exams, AP Biology examinations, science competitions, and other academic assessments. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate academic records. Communicate regularly with parents, students, and academic coordinators regarding student performance and development. Foster critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and problem-solving skills through interactive learning activities. Maintain a positive, professional, and inclusive classroom environment. Collaborate with other instructors and academic staff to enhance curriculum quality and student outcomes. Participate in training sessions, staff meetings, and professional development activities as required. Stay current with developments in biology education, curriculum standards, and instructional best practices.
Pay:
$40.00 - $60.00 per hour
