Open until filled College and Career Awareness teacher with an emphasis on Technology Closing deadline: Position Purpose Under the general supervision of the School Principal and CTE Director, the classroom teacher will follow the approved USBE and Tooele County School District curriculum to offer College and Career Awareness in the Technology lab at Stansbury Jr. Essential Functions

• Will teach College and Career Awareness and Exploring Tech courses.
• Will maintain a safe and orderly teaching lab environment.
• Must be familiar with wood shop equipment and be able to demonstrate correct use of all equipment.
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and utilize appropriate equipment to help students explore different career pathways and learn new skills.
• Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs; conducts individual and small group instruction as needed.

Qualifications Certifications/License:

Applicants must have a current Utah teaching license or can obtain a current Utah teaching license as outlined by the guidelines of the Utah State Board of Education. Applicants must have the proper CTE endorsements for CCA and Exploring Tech courses.

Experience:

• Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate content area and grade level preferred.
