T26/27 SCIENCE TEACHER
(GUNSTON) Arlington Public Schools - VA - 4.2 Arlington, VA Job Details Full-time 15 hours ago Qualifications Middle school teaching Student progress monitoring Community engagement in education Teacher collaboration Family collaboration in education Student record keeping Special education Mid-level Academic leadership Curriculum implementation Instructional leadership in education Working with middle schoolers Parent communication in school administration Implementing IT- integrated lessons as a teacher English as a Second Language (ESL) Endorsement Leadership Special Education Certification Student safety monitoring Student academic progress tracking Full Job Description This is a 1.0 FTE located at Gunston Middle School Implements instructional programs that meet the needs, interests and abilities of students using appropriate instructional materials. Maintains safe and orderly environment. Communicates with parents/guardians. Maintains complete and accurate student records. Collaborates with school administrators, other teachers, instructional assistants, parents, and community members. Monitors and assesses student achievement.

Attends ongoing professional learning and meetings.
EXPERIENCE
Teaching experience in the above mentioned area. Knowledge of best instructional practices. Ability to integrate technology. Experience in educational and instructional leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure. Science endorsement. Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required. SALARY:
Salary based on the 2026-27 Pay Plan
