In this role, you will deliver engaging lessons across various scientific disciplines, including biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics, while integrating innovative learning technologies. Your expertise will help students develop critical thinking skills, understand complex concepts, and apply scientific principles in real-world contexts. Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities. Deliver interactive lectures and laboratory activities covering topics such as cell biology, genetics, organic chemistry, biochemistry, and calculus. Utilize modern learning technology tools to enhance classroom engagement and facilitate understanding of complex scientific concepts. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment conducive to student success. Assess student progress through quizzes, standardized tests, projects, and presentations; provide constructive feedback to support improvement. Mentor students individually or in groups, offering academic advising and tutoring to reinforce understanding of challenging topics like differential equations or microbiology. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and research initiatives to continually improve teaching practices. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavioral reports in accordance with school policies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education with a focus on Science or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in science education are preferred. Proven experience teaching science at the secondary or higher education level within private or public school settings. Strong knowledge of scientific disciplines including biology (cell biology, genetics, microbiology), chemistry (organic chemistry), physics (geometry, trigonometry), and mathematics (algebra, calculus). Laboratory experience with dissection techniques, research laboratory procedures, and safety protocols. Familiarity with instructional technology tools and digital resources for science education. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students actively and foster a collaborative classroom atmosphere. Demonstrated classroom management skills combined with effective lesson planning and curriculum development abilities. Experience working with students of varying needs, including special education populations or Montessori environments is advantageous. Ability to conduct scientific research or mentoring activities that promote inquiry-based learning and critical thinking skills.
