We are a hands-on STEM enrichment company serving children ages 4-15 through afterschool programs, weekend classes, summer camps, and community events. We are looking for a confident, engaging Part-Time STEM Instructor to independently lead evening, afterschool and Saturday programs and support special events. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching kids, facilitating hands-on activities, and working in a flexible, mission-driven environment. We are committed to providing the best possible experience for the students we serve while supporting the growth and development of all our instructors. Essential Job Duties Independently lead evening, afterschool and Saturday STEAM programs at schools and partner sites Teach engaging, hands-on lessons using provided curriculum and materials Work primarily with students ages 6-12, with some programs for ages 3-6 Manage classroom behavior and create a safe, inclusive learning environment Handle setup and cleanup of materials and kits Represent the organization at special events (community events, school events, tabling) Occasionally support additional programming such as in-school field trips or science assemblies Attend in-house training, as required, to learn curriculum This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities. Schedule & Availability Part-time, 5-15 hours per week Weekday afternoons, evenings and Saturday mornings Opportunity for continued part-time employment during academic year Qualifications Demonstrated ability to confidently lead groups of K-7 students independently Strong communication and classroom management skills Reliable transportation and willingness to travel up to an 1 hour Experience with STEM instructional tools including, but not limited to: LEGO Spike, VEX Robotics, Snap Circuits and Scratch A bachelor's degree (or pursuit) in education or a STEM field Proficient with e-mail, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word Passionate about working with the next generation!
