Lido Isle Yacht Club (LIYC) is in beautiful, sunny Newport Beach, California just minutes away from the beach. LIYC's Junior Sailing Program is legendary! Generations of Lido residents and family members have participated in the summer sailing program and are committed to offering the same quality sailing experience to generations to come.

Job Responsibilities:

Lido Isle Yacht Club (LIYC) is looking for a qualified individual who likes working with kindergarten-aged children in a beach environment for our summer program. The LIYC program runs for 6 weeks June 15th-July 23rd. The program runs weekly Monday through Thursday from 9:00am-3:00pm. The individual will be responsible for supervision of the children at all times (with the exception of a lunch break), developing weekly themes around marine life and the ocean, creating daily lesson plans that include: arts & crafts, songs, games, etc., handling minor disciplinary issues, and balancing fun with learning for all children involved. Pay will be based on prior teaching experience. Summer Only

• June 15th-July 23rd; Mandatory Orientation June 11th-13th Part Time
• Monday through Thursday from 8:30am-12:30pm
• or•Full Time Monday-Thursday 8:30-3:30 depending on program needs Compensation based on experience Great work environment right on the waterfront!

Qualifications:

• Must be a minimum of 18 years old with some college units and experience working with young children
• Teaching Credential (preferred)
• Current CPR & First Aid Certification
• CA Boater Card (preferred)
• Livescan Required upon hire
• SafeSport Required upon hire

Experience:

Early Childhood General Education Teachers:

1 year (Preferred) Sailing Experience Preferred (Not Required)
