Salinas, CA Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM + occasional weekends

Competitive rate (based on experience) About the
Role:
We are seeking a reliable, engaging, and experienced Mariachi Instructor to lead after-school enrichment programs for elementary-aged students (K-6th grade). This is a lead instructor role , not an assistant position—you will be responsible for delivering structured lessons, managing your classroom, and preparing students for live performances.
Responsibilities:
Teach foundational and intermediate mariachi skills (vocals and/or instruments such as violin, trumpet, vihuela, guitarra, guitarrón) Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons for K-6 students Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive, structured environment Prepare students for school-site performances and occasional weekend events Track student progress and participation Represent the program professionally during performances and on school campuses
Requirements:
Experience in mariachi performance and/or instruction Ability to work independently and lead a classroom of students Strong classroom management and communication skills Reliable transportation and consistent availability Must be dependable and punctual
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with elementary-aged students Ability to teach multiple mariachi instruments Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

This role is ideal for musicians, performers, or educators who are confident leading a group, can keep students engaged, and are comfortable performing in front of an audience. We are looking for someone who can bring both structure and energy into the classroom.
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
