Wonder Quest is a new learning center dedicated to providing personalized and engaging educational experiences for students in grades 1th-8th. Our mission is to help students develop a love for learning, and we're looking for an enthusiastic and creative educator to join our team.
Job Description:
The STEAM Summer Camp Instructor is responsible for leading, supervising, and engaging campers in a variety of educational and recreational activities for 10 weeks (June 1st - August 7th). This role requires enthusiasm, leadership, and the ability to create a fun and safe learning environment for students.Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise students during daily engineering and STEAM camp activities. Teach and guide students through hands-on MIT-inspired projects such as robotics, design challenges, inventions, coding, circuits, and problem-solving activities. Explain project instructions clearly in an age-appropriate and engaging way. Help students brainstorm, design, build, test, and improve their creations. Encourage creativity, teamwork, critical thinking, and persistence. Assist students with tools, materials, and safe construction practices. Set up and organize project materials before camp begins each day. Keep classroom and workspaces clean, safe, and organized.Ideal Candidate:
Recently graduated or upper level college students. Passion for engineering, STEAM, and MIT creative projects Previous experience working with children in an educational, camp, or recreational setting preferred Creative, patient, dependable, and enthusiastic. Able to learn projects quickly and lead with confidence.Qualifications:
Previous experience working with children in an educational, camp, or recreational setting preferred. Reliable, organized, and able to lead a group independently. Ability to manage and motivate children in an engaging and supportive manner. First aid and CPR certification (preferred or willingness to obtain). Must pass a background check.Benefits:
