Our training focuses on functional martial arts and practical self-defense skills undergirded by strong values such as self-control, honor, and courtesy. If you are the Martial Arts Coach we are looking for, YOU ARE A skilled martial artist but not a meathead A natural at building rapport with people: kids and teens Controlled, focused, and disciplined both in your practice as a martial artist as well as in life Willing to learn and uphold our coaching curriculum, methods, and culture - not stuck on doing things your own way. Known by friends and family as the responsible and reliable one who can always be counted on Patient and enjoy a step-by-step process of teaching others Quietly confident and others would describe you as a leader More motivated by helping others and doing quality work than by recognition Enthusiastic, energetic, and organized A good team player and enjoy working with others Capable of helping people to learn and have fun at the same time Passionate about purpose driven work Our part time Martial Arts Instructor will help our students in the following ways: Work with new, incoming students to help them have a great experience and feel welcomed as a member Coach small groups of students during class time to assist and support the Lead Instructor running the class Pull aside students struggling with material to encourage them and help them learn the correct skill Work toward being a Lead on group classes for all our various programs: kids ages 3-5; kids ages 6-11; teens 12+ This is a great position for someone who has a passion for martial arts, coaching, and working with people. This is an entry position that can lead to full time career opportunities. Hours and pay range depend on experience and ability to learn quickly. Both hours and pay will grow as you grow.
