Job Description
Overview We are currently seeking passionate STEM instructors to support summer programs in partnership with UC San Diego Extended Studies and the Sally Ride Science Academy. Responsibilities Teach and facilitate STEM lessons in robotics and/or drones Guide students through hands-on builds, coding exercises, and drone flight activities Create an engaging, structured, and supportive classroom environment Assist with setup, instruction, and breakdown of equipment Collaborate with program staff to ensure a high-quality learning experience Requirements Prior experience in teaching or tutoring children in STEM subjects or related fields Strong classroom management skills to foster an organized and respectful learning environment Knowledge of early childhood education principles and behavior management strategies Ability to work effectively with children of various ages and developmental stages Certifications or experience in first aid and child safety are preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed Background in special education or working with children with diverse needs is a plus Passion for science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and inspiring young minds to explore these fields Join us in creating exciting educational experiences that empower children to dream big and achieve more!
