Position Overview We're looking for energetic, safety-conscious, and reliable Surf Instructors to join our growing team! You'll work directly with guests of all ages and skill levels, teaching ocean safety, surf techniques, and building confidence in the water.

Compensation:

$23-$28/hr + tips + bonuses (DOE) Responsibilities Teach beginner and intermediate surf lessons (private and group) following Fun Surf LA's proven method Provide excellent customer service and ensure every guest feels safe, supported, and stoked Set up and break down surf gear (boards, wetsuits, shade, etc.) Monitor ocean conditions and make safety-based decisions Maintain equipment and report damages or losses Represent the company professionally on the beach and in all interactions with guests Skills & Qualities We're Looking For Strong swimming and surfing ability in various ocean conditions Minimum 3 years of surfing experience Minimum 1 year of experience as a surf instructor CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days) Positive attitude, patience, and strong communication skills Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs and work outdoors for extended periods Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and behavior Lifeguard, ISA or similar certifications are a big plus and come with additional pay for qualified instructors Perks Work at LA's most scenic beaches Flexible hours and friendly team Tips and performance-based bonuses Staff surf sessions and community events Opportunity to grow with the company
