Job Description

Full Time (5-day/week)
Seasonal Position Approximate Start/End Dates:
11/20/26 - 04/07/27 •Required to work before Opening Day (11/26/26) and after Closing Day (04/04/27) We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who wants to work with our youngest guests ages 3-6 years old within an indoor environment providing care and entertainment for children and support to instructors. This individual will lead a group of 5 Indoor Attendants and work closely with the Children's Center Chef and Children's Ski School 3-6YO Supervisor. A desire to work with children and interact with their parents is a must for this position. In addition to maintaining a welcoming indoor center, you will have an opportunity to work with children within our Rental Center and Snow Camp program. Working at Telluride will offer you the opportunity to build lasting relationships within Telluride Ski Resort for years to come.
Responsibilities:
Provide a welcoming and safe environment for our youngest guests. Models the essence of exemplary guest service and professionalism. Lead a group of 5 indoor attendants; assigning tasks, organizing breaks, and assisting in scheduling with the help of Children's Ski School 3-6YO Supervisor. Supports instruction and care for children including: dressing, using the bathroom, ski related games and activities, entertaining children, interfacing with instructors, supervisors, and parents. Ensure each child is signed in and out. Escorts child to designated activities if not with instructor. On the chef's day off, meal and snack preparation duties in Children's Center which includes heating, cutting, and serving food. Assists in Ski School Rentals, Kitchen, and/or Snow Camp as needed. Assists on the Magic Carpet as needed. Answer telephone inside Ski School (phone located by door into rentals). Emotionally supporting children who may be sad, tired, etc. Supervise sick children until picked up by family. Clean between classes with sanitizer. (Tables/seats, toys/equipment, vests, door knobs, counters [food counter & front counter], restocking sanitizer, etc.) Responsible for inventory, daily cleaning, and organization of toys and equipment. Fill wagon with daily magic carpet supplies (fill water, snacks, tissues, trash can, and hot cocoa). Drive golf cart to and from beginner area. Addresses all staff and guest issues with compassion and professionalism.
Qualifications:
It is required that applicants for this position have prior experience working with children. Experience working as a leader or supervisor of a small team (2-5 people). Must be authorized to work in the USA. We are not sponsoring work visas at this time. Must be able to work full time over the busy holiday weeks/weekends. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Positive and energetic. Strong communication skills. Team player. Be able to identify areas that need improvement and have initiative to seek solutions. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests and other employees. Ability to do math. High school diploma or GED preferred.

Pay:
$23 - 24/hr; dependent on experience. Successful Completion of Post-Offer, Pre-Employment Background Check will be required for those who are extended a job offer. Failure to disclose history as well as convictions of felony and serious misdemeanors may disqualify you from employment as an indoor attendant. Serious misdemeanors can be, but not limited to, crimes of violence and crimes that speak to a person's honesty and integrity, such as perjury or theft.
