Gainesville Empowerment Zone Family Learning Center is seeking a Summer Enrichment Assistant to support our summer programming and classroom activities. This position offers the opportunity to work with children in a variety of settings, including enrichment activities, outdoor play, special events, and classroom support. We are looking for someone who is energetic, flexible, dependable, and comfortable stepping in wherever needed to help create a positive experience for children. Responsibilities Assist with summer enrichment activities and special projects Support classroom teachers throughout the day Engage children in games, arts and crafts, literacy activities, STEM exploration, and outdoor play Help supervise children during activities, transitions, meals, and guest presentations Maintain a safe, positive, and welcoming environment Support daily operations and assist with other duties as assigned Qualifications Experience working with children preferred DCF 40-Hour Training completed or willingness to complete immediately CPR and First Aid certification preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing needs throughout the day Ideal Candidate Enjoys working with children of various ages Brings enthusiasm, creativity, and a positive attitude Reliable and professional Comfortable supporting both structured activities and classroom routines If you're looking for an opportunity to make a difference while helping children learn, grow, and have fun this summer, we'd love to hear from you.
