Job Description

Girls Inc. is seeking Summer Camp Facilitators to supervise and implement lesson plans for young campers. What do Facilitators do? The most important of all Camp Counselor duties is to ensure campers are safe at all times. The job duties of a Summer Camp Facilitator include implementing Girls Inc. activities, planning summer camp games, educating children and introducing them to real-world concepts, and working as a team to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold! Being reliable, flexible, and able to build good relationships with children are essential traits of a Girls Inc. Summer Camp Facilitator. We offer flexible hours with the opportunity to share your interests and passion with girls in K - 8th grades. We have a strong team, have a lot of fun, and make a lot of positive change. Our Summer Camp runs from June 1th - August 8th. We offer hours between 7:00 am and 6:30 pm. Shift times are 7:00 am-2:00 pm, 9:00 am-6:00 pm. and 12:00 pm-7:00 pm. The chance to work with a particular grade or to share a skill with all ages. Responsibilities Implement Girls Inc. curriculum Plan age-appropriate activities for groups of campers Lead recreational and educational activities Educate campers through games and explorations Set up and maintain equipment and materials Resolve occasional issues and address behavioral issues Make sure all safety rules are followed Keep accurate incident and behavior logs Arrive on time and make use of planning time Other duties as needed Skills Patient and reliable Organizational and communication skills A love for children Energetic and positive personality Ability to meet the physical demands of the job High level of competency in cultural diversity Efficient time management and prioritization skills Must clear all background screenings and education verification
