Job Description

Horseback Trail Guide (Seasonal) - Simpsonville, KY We are seeking reliable and enthusiastic horseback trail guides to join our seasonal outdoor recreation team in Simpsonville, Kentucky. This role combines guest interaction, horse handling, and trail leadership in a scenic riding environment. Opportunities are available for both part-time and full-time schedules during our riding season, which operates from spring through late fall. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people and horses, has a solid riding foundation, and can help create a safe and enjoyable experience for riders of varying skill levels.

7:00 AM - 12:30
PM Afternoon/Evening Shift:
12:30 PM - 7:00 PM Pay Starting pay: $16.00 per hour Additional gratuities may be earned from guests Position Duties Prepare horses and equipment for daily rides Groom, saddle, and check tack before scheduled departures Assist guests with waivers, helmets, and pre-ride preparation Provide basic riding orientation and safety information Lead or accompany guided trail rides Observe horse and rider well-being throughout the ride experience Return horses to designated areas following rides Help maintain clean and organized barn, tack, and guest areas Assist with general daily operations as needed Desired Qualifications Prior horseback riding experience Comfortable handling horses both on the ground and while mounted Ability to ride confidently in a group setting Experience in trail riding, lesson programs, barns, ranches, camps, or similar equine environments is helpful Strong communication and customer service skills Dependable attendance and reliable transportation Must be 18 years of age or older Preferred Skills Horse grooming and daily care Saddling and bridling Experience working with beginner riders Familiarity with group trail rides Ability to recognize basic signs of horse discomfort or health concerns How to Apply Please email the following to: rfrcemployment@gmail.com
