After School Chess Instructor

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Instructor to teach the game of chess to young students. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and will be responsible for educating elementary and/or middle school students about the fundamentals of chess. This role requires effective classroom management skills and the ability to communicate concepts clearly to ensure student understanding and engagement. Duties Manage classroom dynamics effectively, maintaining a respectful and productive learning atmosphere. Educate students in accordance with curriculum standards, utilizing various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles. Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their academic and personal growth. Provide individualized support and tutoring to students who require additional assistance Requirements Knows how to play chess. A passion for chess, education, and a commitment to student success. Strong verbal communication skills, to effectively convey information. Ability to create an inclusive environment that supports all learners.
