Summer Camp Instructor

Duties Plan, organize, and facilitate a variety of fun and educational activities tailored to different age groups, including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and outdoor games Maintain a safe environment by supervising children at all times and implementing proper behavior management strategies Provide first aid when necessary, ensuring the health and safety of all campers Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance through compassionate care and tailored activities Foster positive relationships with campers by encouraging teamwork, respect, and inclusivity Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and other stakeholders regarding camper progress or concerns Assist with daily camp routines such as check-in/check-out procedures, snack time supervision, and setting up activity spaces Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp programs is highly preferred Demonstrated classroom management skills to guide behavior positively and maintain order during activities Knowledge of childhood development principles to support age-appropriate engagement Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) to ensure safety standards are met Ability to work effectively with children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education support or behavioral management techniques Strong communication skills to interact confidently with children, parents, and team members Enthusiasm for outdoor activities, sports coaching, theater arts or similar interests that can enrich the camp experience This exciting role is perfect for energetic individuals passionate about working with children in a nurturing environment.
