In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development and implementation of programs that foster growth, safety, and engagement for children and young learners. Your leadership will inspire teams, ensure high standards of care and education, and promote a positive environment where children thrive. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our educational and childcare initiatives while maintaining a vibrant, inclusive atmosphere that celebrates childhood development. Children ages 5-12 at our 3 Wayne County locations (Dearborn Heights, Westland, Redford) all within 10-15 minutes from each other. Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership for all camp activities. Manage classroom environments ensuring effective classroom management techniques are applied to support positive behavior and learning outcomes. Oversee supervision of staff to uphold high standards in teaching, behavior management, and child safety protocols. Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements, health and safety regulations including first aid procedures and child protection policies. Collaborate with other staff to develop engaging curricula that incorporate theater arts, sports coaching, field trips and other enrichment activities. Foster strong relationships with families and community partners to promote a welcoming environment that supports children's emotional and developmental needs. Help with recruitment and advertising for summer camp before it begins. Experience Proven experience in classroom management, working directly with children across various age groups Prior leadership experience in childcare centers, daycare facilities or educational institutions managing teams of educators or counselors. Knowledge of health and safety standards such as first aid certification and child protection policies is essential. Strong background in teaching or tutoring with an understanding of curriculum design tailored for young learners. Experience coordinating camp programs or extracurricular activities like sports coaching or theater arts is preferred.
