Employee discounts Training & development Position Overview The Kids Staff Operator ensures that children and families enjoy a safe, fun, and engaging experience in our indoor playground and event spaces. This role involves supervising play areas, assisting with birthday parties and seasonal events, and providing excellent customer service to parents and children. Primary Responsibilities Supervise children in the play area, ensuring safety rules are followed at all times. Greet and assist families, providing a welcoming and friendly environment. Support setup, coordination, and cleanup for birthday parties, workshops, and group events. Operate play equipment and monitor usage to maintain safety and efficiency. Assist children with activities, games, and art projects during events. Maintain cleanliness and organization in play zones, party rooms, and activity stations. Communicate with parents and guardians regarding child safety and facility guidelines. Collaborate with other staff members (kitchen, art, event teams) to ensure smooth operations. Report any safety hazards, incidents, or equipment issues to the Supervisor/Manager. Requirements Previous childcare, teaching assistant, or recreation experience preferred (not required). Valid CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before starting). Completion of KidLavie's in-house safety and child supervision training program. Friendly, energetic, and patient personality, with a love for working with children. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to manage groups of children in a safe and organized manner. Reliable, punctual, and flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physically able to stand, move, and supervise activities for extended periods.
