We are seeking a passionate and experienced Brown/Blackbelt BJJ instructor to join our martial arts academy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, demonstrated leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role offers an opportunity to share your expertise, inspire students, and contribute to the growth of our martial arts community. Prior university experience is considered a valuable asset for this position. Duties Lead and instruct Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes for students of various skill levels, emphasizing proper technique, safety, and progression. Follow current training programs/curriculum Assist individual student needs and goals in jiu jitsu. Mentor students in their martial arts journey, providing constructive feedback and encouragement. Organize seminars, workshops, and special training sessions to enhance student engagement and skill development. Maintain a professional and respectful environment that promotes discipline, respect, and camaraderie. Stay current with BJJ techniques, trends, and best practices to ensure high-quality instruction. Collaborate with other instructors and staff to curriculum updates and community events. Requirements Proven expertise as a Brown or Blackbelt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with certification from a recognized organization. Prior experience teaching or coaching martial arts at various levels is preferred. Experience working with kids is a MUST. Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage students effectively. Demonstrated leadership qualities and a professional attitude. Experience working with university students or within academic environments is considered an asset. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed. Commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all students.
