Application Deadline 4/30/2026 Position Start Date 7/1/2026 Position Title Classroom Teacher, Grades 5-6, Community Schools Career Exploration Camp Required Application Type Teacher / Admin Job Description The classroom teacher for the Summer Career Exploration Camp provides high-quality, grade-level instruction with a focus on developmentally appropriate interdisciplinary career exploration experiences for students entering grades 5 and 6. Teachers will collaborate with counselors and community partners to plan and implement interdisciplinary learning experiences for students entering grades 5 and 6. Teacher will coordinate and support students to prepare a culminating student showcase and family event on the last day of camp. Experience at the elementary and/or middle level is preferred.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and deliver daily standard-based lessons to support career exploration Coordinate and support students to prepare a culminating student showcase and family event on the last day of camp. Create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes strong student engagement. Collaborate with teaching assistants, counselors and multiple community partners to create a robust camp experience for students. Participate in required curriculum planning, orientation sessions and staff meetings. Maintain accurate records of attendance. Follow all program policies, procedures, and reporting requirements. QUALIFICATIONS
Valid NYS teaching certification in Elementary Education/Childhood Education. Experience teaching in K-12 setting. Classroom
PROGRAM SCHEDULE
July 13-17, 2026 Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 3:00 pm (student day 8:30-2:30)

CiTi BOCES Mexico Campus
START DATE
July 13, 2026 (with required curriculum development and orientation on July 9 and 10, 2026)
END DATE
July 17, 2026
COMPENSATION:
Compensation for current CiTi staff is their per diem rate. Compensation for non-CiTi employees is $53.79/hour or $56.00/ hour with master's degree Compensation for curriculum development is $39.78/hour
