Job Overview :

Amazing Athletes of Eastern Oklahoma is seeking a passionate and dedicated Coach to join our team. Amazing Athletes is a unique program that allows children to try 10 major sports. These sports include basketball, football, volleyball, tennis, soccer, hockey, golf, baseball, lacrosse and track and field. During class children will try multiple sports each week, will learn about power foods and how they positively affect their bodies and will learn about different muscles and muscle groups used in different activities. Amazing Athletes brings this experience to schools around Tulsa and its surrounding areas allowing families to spend more time together instead of driving to multiple practices each week. Dustin Sewell, Amazing Athletes of Eastern Ok owner, was a dedicated soccer player throughout his childhood and school aged years. Soccer was a very important time in his life, and he knows how important sports can be to children's social, emotional and intellectual development. During college, Dustin began coaching for Michael Amberg, the previous owner, and spent many years coaching and learning the business from him. In 2016, Dustin was given the opportunity to buy the Amazing Athletes franchise, and he proudly became owner of the Eastern Ok franchise. Since then, Dusin has served over 1,000 growing athletes in the Tulsa area. Dustin and his wife, Hayley, have a two-year-old, with another little one on the way, and his passion for helping children create a love for sports and a healthy lifestyle is seen in every interaction he has with students and staff participating with Amazing Athletes. Amazing Athletes is looking for versatile and flexible coaches who are open to helping children try new sports and get them excited about an active and healthy lifestyle that can grow with them. Coaches should always have professional communication skills, demonstrate punctuality as well as a good sense of personal and professional boundaries. A successful Coach is culturally sensitive when working with a diverse population.

Compensation:

Begins at $20 per hour

Mondays 3:00

• 4:30pm Tuesdays 3:00
• 4:30pm Wednesdays 3:00
• 4:40pm Thursdays 12:15
• 4:30pm Fridays 10:00
• 11:00am

Reviews assigned curriculum and is prepared to teach lesson plans prior to class•

PLEASE NOTE

No curriculum creation involved in this position Communication with the Franchise owner regarding all pertinent student and site information. Works with the School Director to regularly add new students to current or future classes, maximizing attendance levels. Comes to each class in proper dress code and allows appropriate time to set up. Teaches each class with enthusiasm and positivity that encourages students. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to student or Franchise owner when needed. Manage behavior effectively to maintain a focused training atmosphere. Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities, including ensuring children have been picked up or returned to designated spot after class ends. Qualifications for an Amazing Athletes Coach Must have a clean background check. Current driver's license and/or reliable transportation. Experience working with children or students in a coaching or childcare setting is recommended. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff members. Proven experience in sports, coaching or teaching is highly desirable. Strong understanding of behavior management techniques to effectively guide student-athletes. A commitment to fostering a safe and encouraging environment for all participants.
