Schedule:
Monday-Friday, July 6-10, 13-17 & 20-24 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with 30 minutes of prep and clean up before and after camp and a paid 30-minute lunch break.
On-site hours:
8:30-4 Monday-Friday with up to 2 hours per week to review curriculum or communicate with program leaders remotely.
Total hours:
38-40 hours each week of summer camp and 3-5 hours of training before camp begins. Instructors should request support from program leaders for any prep or clean up to ensure they do not exceed 40 hours per week.
Pay:
$20-22 per hour depending on funding, camp enrollment & experience
Program Details:
The summer camp lead instructor will be supported by the Programs Director & Executive Director. Participants include children ages 5-14. Read more about summer camp at parkerlearninggardens.org/summercamp.
Required qualifications:
.... Experience leading groups of youth and/or adults in experiential outdoor learning or relevant teaching and gardening experience .... CPR & First Aid certification for adults and children before work starts .... Substitute instructor pool We need substitutes for our regularly scheduled classes and summer camps. Please see above positions for more details. Substitute instructors are on call and may receive notice weeks before coverage is needed, but more likely would be scheduled last minute due to regular staff illness or emergency. Substitute instructors are paid $18-20 an hour, depending on experience and responsibilities.

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
