Qualifications:
1. Experience in working with youth, youth development, camps, childcare, educational instruction or related disciplines. (Minimum 1 year) Personal attributes: Ability to cultivate and maintain positive relationships with children and adults. Ability to clearly communicate and problem-solve quickly. Patient and flexible with people and expectations as appropriate. Positive attitude. Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Card, CPR/First Aid certificates prior to employment. Must complete required
ELD/ODHS
training prior to employment. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, active, and changing environment. Bilingual applicants are desired, but not required.
Performance Responsibilities:
Implement and lead age-appropriate activities for Kindergarten-5th grade children in a school setting. Assist in the supervision of 30
- 65 children in both large and small group settings (Ratios are typically 1:15).
Actively engage in games, enrichment activities, STEAM projects, and recreational activities with the children. Use positive behavior (PBIS) guidelines and strategies to support and respond to student behaviors. Provide active supervision and observational awareness skills during the entirety of the shift. Document and communicate concerns and problems in a timely manner. Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times. Maintain a clean and organized space; be respectful of the school rules and expectations across school settings. Communicate effectively and frequently with staff, students, and supervisors.
