• Temporary, Seasonal LASER Kids Camp is hiring a temporary summer role of STEM Camp Director for our Lansdale, PA location which also serves Colmar, Hatfield, North Wales, Towamencin and surrounding communities.

Job Summary The STEM Camp Director is responsible for smooth day-to-day operation of the camp. To support the mission and values that all campers will be supported in their exploration of STEM careers. This role involves collaborating with teachers and counselors in planning and implementing programs. By providing guidance and mentorship to campers and junior counselors, the STEM Camp Director will be supporting the growth and development of youth in our community. Duties Support teachers and instructors in incorporating creativity, humor, and innovation into teaching lesson plans and recommended content. Collaborate with owners by providing recommendations for improvements to STEM camp programming and instructional methods. Confirm field trips and communicate with transportation services ensure timely arrival and departure from venues. Supervise staff and students during field trips to maintain safety. Invite and confirm guest speakers and instructors. Ensure that drop-off and pick-up occurs in a safe and secure manner. Supervise counselors and junior counselors to ensure they are following lesson plans and conducting themselves according to camp policies and procedures. Contribute to updates to camp policies and procedures regarding camp operations, employee conduct, and student behavior. Skills At least 5 years of teaching experience or prior experience as a camp director College graduate with a degree in education with certification in science or math, preferred Excellent leadership skills with experience managing teams effectively. Strong organizational and time management skills. Exceptional communication skills for interacting with diverse groups including campers, parents, and staff.
