Job Description

RECREATION PROGRAMS
- The Town of Herndon boasts a unique balance of strong sense of community and being a next generation small town and each employee is pivotal in providing exceptional services to our citizens. The Town has an immediate need for a Tennis Instructor Indoor & Outdoor in the Parks and Recreation department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead group lessons for participants aged 4 to adult. Teaching class levels from beginner to advanced. Run competition practices. Inspire athletes young and old. Must be a flexible and personable team player willing to help out by subbing for absent colleagues as need.
Requirements:
Must be enthusiastic and energetic. Desire to pass along knowledge of tennis via instruction on the court. Previous experience teaching tennis classes is preferred. USTA certification and current First Aid/CPR Certification desired.
Work Location:
Herndon Community Center, 814 Ferndale Avenue, Herndon, VA 20170 Due to the nature of a government providing services to the public all duties of this position are required to be fulfilled at the designated worksite in the town. No remote work is available.
