Camp & Conference Center Assistant St.
Christopher Camp & Conference Center Resident :
This is a Full-Time, resident position. Housing is provided. Job Overview St. Christopher Camp & Conference Center is seeking a Camp & Conference Center Assistant to help create meaningful experiences of hospitality, Christian formation, and environmental education in a unique island setting. This is a full-time resident position that supports Student Ministries in the mornings and the Conference Center in the afternoons , while helping deliver exceptional experiences for campers, retreat guests, schools, and conference groups. The role also offers opportunities to collaborate on special programming including retreats, workshops, and seasonal events. About St. Christopher Since 1938, St. Christopher has served as a beloved Episcopal camp and retreat destination. Today, our ministry includes summer camp programs, environmental education, and conference center hospitality designed to foster rest, renewal, and meaningful connection. We welcome guests of all backgrounds and strive to reflect God's love through hospitality and service. ResponsibilitiesConference Center Support Assist with planning and executing retreats, programs, and special events throughout the year Support guest registration and group preparation processes Welcome groups and provide excellent hospitality throughout their stay Facilitate technology orientations and guest onboarding Collect, process, and communicate guest feedback and survey responses Assist with gift shop operations as needed Participate in resident on-call responsibilities (approximately one weekday/week and up to one weekend/month) Student Ministries Support Support arrival days for Barrier Island programs Assist with summer camp check-in and registration Help organize registration materials and participant communication Respond to questions from parents, teachers, and guests Assist with promoting upcoming camp and educational opportunities Additional Support Provide occasional support to Guest Services, Facilities, or Dining Services (up to one shift per week) Participate in Staff Chapel Assist with additional duties and ministry needs as assigned Opportunity to train in outdoor and camp programming (kayaking, ropes, sailing, archery, etc.) based on interest and organizational needs QualificationsRequired Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a ministry and hospitality environment Flexible schedule, including occasional weekends Passion for creating welcoming experiences for guests of all ages Preferred Some college experience (Bachelor's degree preferred) Experience in camp ministry, hospitality, outdoor education, youth programming, or event coordination Familiarity with registration systems (CampBrain experience is a plus) Prior experience with St. Christopher programs is welcomed but not required What Makes This Role Unique Live and work in a beautiful barrier island environment Blend hospitality, youth ministry, and event programming Gain hands-on experience across camp, retreat, and environmental education operations Contribute to meaningful experiences focused on formation, restoration, and community Job Type Full-time Resident Position Schedule Morning Student Ministries responsibilities Afternoon Conference Center responsibilities Some evenings and weekends required On-call rotation participation To Apply For questions about this position, contact the Director of the Conference Center.
