Martial Arts Instructor for Kids Knoxville, TN 37932 $15.50 - $17.00 an hour - Part-time $15.50 - $17.00 an hour - Part-time Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and passionate Martial Arts Instructor dedicated to teaching children the fundamentals of martial arts in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment. This role involves guiding young students through martial arts techniques, fostering discipline, confidence, and physical fitness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in martial arts, experience working with children, and a desire to inspire young learners to achieve their personal best. Responsibilities Lead engaging martial arts classes tailored specifically for kids, emphasizing skill development, safety, and enjoyment Develop age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate fundamental techniques such as Karate, Judo, or other martial arts disciplines Foster a positive learning environment that promotes respect, discipline, and teamwork among students Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage growth and confidence Manage classroom behavior effectively using proven behavior management strategies Ensure all safety protocols are followed during classes and activities to prevent injuries Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and address any concerns Qualifications Proven experience in martial arts such as Karate, Judo, or similar disciplines; certification is a plus Prior experience working with children in a teaching or coaching capacity Knowledge of child development principles and effective behavior management techniques Background in sports coaching, physical education teaching, or childcare is highly desirable Lifeguard experience or certification is advantageous but not required Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate young learners Ability to demonstrate leadership while maintaining a fun and safe environment for kids Obtain F Certification to pick up children Join us in shaping confident, disciplined, and active young minds!
