Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Martial Arts Instructor to inspire and empower students of all ages through dynamic martial arts training. In this role, you will lead engaging classes that promote physical fitness, discipline, self-confidence, and respect. You will create a positive learning environment that encourages growth, teamwork, and perseverance while ensuring safety and proper technique. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves teaching, sports coaching, and working with diverse age groups to make a meaningful impact through martial arts. Duties Lead structured martial arts classes focusing on techniques such as Tae Kwon Do or other martial arts disciplines. Develop customized lesson plans that cater to different skill levels and age groups, from children to adults. Demonstrate proper techniques in martial arts movements, including kicks, punches, blocks, and forms. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills and confidence. Enforce safety protocols during training sessions to prevent injuries and promote safe practice environments. Incorporate elements of physical education such as swimming, climbing, or cheerleading into martial arts programs when appropriate. Manage classroom behavior effectively using behavior management strategies to maintain a focused and respectful atmosphere. Qualifications Proven experience in martial arts disciplines such as Karate, Judo, or similar styles; certification is preferred. Background in sports coaching or teaching physical education with a focus on youth development. Lifeguard experience or certification is a plus due to the potential integration of swimming or water safety components. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students of all ages and skill levels. Experience working with children in childcare settings or educational environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of behavior management techniques to foster a positive learning environment. Enthusiasm for fitness activities such as basketball, cheerleading, climbing, or gym-based training is advantageous.
