To instruct and demonstrate proper swimming skills with an emphasis toward competitive swimming.Qualifications:
Education/Certification :
Minimum age 16Special Knowledge/Skills :
Must exhibit a love for working with children Flexible, positive, and able to try new ideas Ability to work evenings during the school year Ability to work either mornings, evenings, or both during the summer season Maintain a professional, mature, and positive teaching style while instructingExperience :
Experience in teaching swimming classes and individuals of various ages and ability levels Competitive swimming experience preferred One year of customer service preferredMajor Responsibilities and Duties:
Adhere to the established learn-to-swim curriculum. Create an educational, safe, and inviting experience for all participants. Evaluate all students in their assigned class. Update skill levels through the online registration system. Teach a variety of swim skill levels. Provide for the health and safety of participants, including ensuring that all teaching and practice areas are free of hazards and that materials and equipment are safe. Communicate with parents on a regular basis. Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations. Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisor. Other Duties asAssigned:
