Job Summary Under the general supervision of a Recreation Specialist or Sr Youth Leader, the Youth Leader will lead and supervise summer camp / afterschool participants. This is a seasonal position. Must be available to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays and help in other divisions as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for the safety and well-being of campers and program participants Rotates and moves around to supervise children in a variety of settings including indoor, outdoor with possible exposure to inclement weather conditions Implements lesson plans for children ages 5-13 in areas of recreation, adventure, education, and enrichment Performs daily tasks to include cleaning, answering phones, and general office related tasks Maintains essential records, prepares reports as required; to include but not limited to participation reports, usage reports, accident reports, and work orders Follows City policies, procedures, and safety guidelines Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Completion of two (2) years of high school or equivalent Preferred Qualifications One (1) year experience working with children Thank you for your interest in the position.
