Position Details Position Information Position Title Adjunct Instructor - Community Education/50 Plus Program FLSA Exempt Contract Length N/A Class Summary College of the Mainland is currently seeking adjunct instructors in the Lifelong Learning Program for both Community Education and 50 Plus program classes. Classes taught in these non-credit program areas include personal development and hobby level instruction only. Position Type Adjunct Employment Status Part Time Position Funding Regular Minimum Education/Training/Experience Experience and training in the topic for which applying. Preferred Education/Training/Experience Experience in teaching adults. Commitment to the College's diversity goals. Minimum Knowledge & Skills Detailed knowledge of material being taught in the specific course and program area; Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with students, coworkers, supervisor, the public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction. Preferred Knowledge & Skills N/A Job Duties N/A Licensing/Certification Requirements N/A Physical Requirements Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and seeing.
Sedentary Work:
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
