As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children. You will be responsible for supervising campers, leading activities, and fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages personal growth and teamwork. Ideal candidates will have experience working with children and possess strong leadership skills. Duties Supervise and ensure the safety of campers at all times during activities and events. Plan and lead engaging activities such as arts and crafts, sports, games, and educational programs. Foster a positive environment that encourages campers to participate, build friendships, and develop new skills. Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members to ensure a smooth camp experience. Assist in managing camper behavior through effective classroom management techniques. Provide first aid assistance as needed and maintain a safe environment for all participants. Collaborate with other counselors to create a cohesive team dynamic that enhances the camp experience. Experience Previous experience in childcare, babysitting, or working with children in a camp or daycare setting is preferred. Familiarity with special education practices is a plus. Experience in theater or other creative arts can enhance program offerings at camp. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment are essential.
