Job Overview Join us as a Summer Camp Instructor and ignite the spirit of adventure, learning, and fun in young minds! As a Summer Camp Instructor, you will lead engaging activities, foster a safe and inclusive environment, and inspire campers to explore new skills and friendships. Your enthusiasm will help cultivate a vibrant camp community where children feel supported, challenged, and excited every day. Responsibilities Lead and facilitate a variety of camp activities including sports, arts, theater, and outdoor adventures that promote childhood development and teamwork. Maintain a safe environment by enforcing camp rules, managing behavior with positive discipline techniques, and conducting regular safety checks. Provide attentive childcare by supervising children during activities, meal times, rest periods, and transitions throughout the day. Implement classroom management strategies to ensure all campers are engaged, respectful, and inclusive of diverse needs such as special education requirements. Deliver first aid when necessary, following proper protocols to address minor injuries or health concerns promptly. Collaborate with fellow staff members to plan age-appropriate curriculum that supports early childhood education and developmental milestones. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding camper progress, behavior, or concerns to foster a supportive camp community. Experience Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques to support diverse learning styles and needs. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred to ensure safety during all activities. Background in teaching, special education, sports coaching, theater arts, or Christian counseling can enhance your ability to connect with campers. Demonstrated ability to manage classrooms or group settings with enthusiasm and professionalism. Experience in working with children with special needs or behavioral challenges is a plus.
