Job Description

Skating teachers work to provide opportunities for youth, adults, families and older adults to come together at Leddy Arena and attain new technical skills on the ice in a welcoming environment.

$19.15 - $36.41 Hourly Remote Tier 1: Zero (0) days remote/week Teach and assist with group skating instruction in weekly lessons and camp settings. Respond to public inquiries on arena programs, rules, regulations and use. Ability to actively support City diversity, equity, and cultural competency efforts within stated job responsibilities and work effectively across diverse cultures and constituencies. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion as evidenced by ongoing trainings and professional development. Must be at least 15 years of age. Must have passed at a minimum the US Figure Skating Juvenile MIF test. Previous work experience teaching ice skating preferred. Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Ability to work in all weather conditions. Ability to work on a varying schedule with varying hours of work on various days of the week. Must be able to work effectively with other Arena staff and the general public. Ability to maintain professional appearance. Ability to pass background check.
