Job Description
For children from 4 months to 12 years old, The Little Gym offers a vibrant selection of classes, camps, and parties filled with movement, music, learning, and laughter. Our mission is to help kids reach developmental milestones, build self-confidence, and enjoy serious fun in a safe and nurturing environment. We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Morning Gymnastics Instructor to lead engaging morning classes that promote physical activity, coordination, and confidence among young children. This paid position provides an exciting opportunity to inspire kids through movement-based activities while fostering a positive, supportive atmosphere that encourages growth and fun. The shifts you must be available for are Monday-Friday for training are:
Monday:
8:45-1:00p, Wednesday 10:45-1:00p, Thursday 10:45-1:00p Friday 8:45-1:00p Opportunity to increase hours once training is complete. Lead dynamic gymnastics and movement classes tailored for young children, incorporating elements of sports coaching, martial arts such as karate or judo, and physical education principles. Create a safe environment by monitoring behavior management and ensuring all activities adhere to safety standards. Engage children in age-appropriate exercises that develop motor skills, flexibility, strength, and coordination through climbing, cheerleading routines, swimming-inspired movements, and other fitness activities. Foster a positive atmosphere that encourages participation, teamwork, and confidence-building among children. Communicate with parents or guardians about their child's progress and any relevant observations during classes. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the gym area before and after sessions. Continuously adapt activities to meet the developmental needs of each child while promoting fun and learning. Prior experience working with children in a childcare setting or teaching physical education is highly preferred. Strong skills in behavior management to encourage positive participation and address challenges effectively. Passion for teaching sports coaching or physical activities to young learners with patience and enthusiasm. Ability to stand, move actively for extended periods, and demonstrate exercises clearly.Pay:
