Full Job Description Job Title:
Summer Camp Pottery Instructor Council-Location:
130 - Ballard Associated Recreation Council (ARC), in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is seeking a qualified Pottery Camp Instructor to lead youth pottery camps at Ballard Community Center. Instructors will guide participants in exploring creativity through clay while emphasizing foundational pottery techniques, artistic expression, and hands-on learning.
Proposed Hourly Wage:
$25.00 $27.00

Seasonal (Summer)
Location:
Ballard Community Center Schedule Monday - Friday | 8:45 AM - 4:15
PM Desired Start Date:
June 29, 2026 Responsibilities Instruct participants in basic pottery and clay-handling techniques Lead structured projects and creative activities using clay and other materials Supervise participants and maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe camp environment Set up and clean up tools, materials, and workspaces Communicate effectively with ARC staff and site supervisors Follow ARC and Seattle Parks and Recreation policies and procedures Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older Experience in pottery, ceramics, or visual arts instruction preferred Experience working with children in a recreational, classroom, or camp setting Ability to manage groups in a positive, patient, and supportive manner Benefits Paid Sick and Safe Time (PSST) We are actively prescreening and interviewing for this role.
