In this vibrant role, you'll lead engaging activities, foster a safe and inclusive environment, and inspire children to explore their passions. Whether guiding sports, arts, or educational projects, your enthusiasm will help create unforgettable summer memories for every camper. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact while developing your leadership and childcare skills in a dynamic camp setting. Responsibilities Lead and facilitate a variety of camp activities including sports, arts and crafts, stem,writing,reading,math, theater, and outdoor games to ensure an engaging experience for all children Manage group dynamics by practicing effective classroom management and behavior management techniques to promote respectful interactions Ensure the safety of campers by supervising activities closely and applying first aid procedures when necessary Support children's emotional well-being through attentive childcare, Christian counseling, and encouragement Collaborate with fellow staff members to plan age-appropriate lessons that align with childhood development principles and early childhood education standards Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding camper progress or concerns Uphold all camp policies related to child safety, health protocols, and behavioral expectations Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, public school, or camp environments is highly preferred Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to foster positive group interactions Certification in first aid and CPR is required; have to pass the background check. additional certifications in special education or childhood development are a plus Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children of diverse backgrounds and needs Enthusiasm for sports coaching, theater arts, or other extracurricular activities that can enhance the camp experience Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high energy levels throughout the day Commitment to creating an inclusive environment that supports children's emotional growth and social skills Embark on a summer adventure that transforms lives—yours included!
