Job Description

Position Overview:
We are hiring dependable, energetic individuals to join our team as a Summer Day Camp Attendant for our school-age summer day camp program. This is a temporary, part-time position running from June through August, ideal for candidates who enjoy working with children, staying active, and helping create a safe, structured, and fun summer experience. The Summer Day Camp Attendant are responsible for supervising campers throughout the day, actively participating in activities, and supporting a positive group environment.

Seasonal, Part-Time Responsibilities:
Supervise groups of school-age children throughout the camp day Lead and participate in age-appropriate games, activities, and open play Assist with basic arts, crafts, games, open gym activities, obstacle courses, and movement-based play Maintain camper safety and enforce camp rules consistently and positively Help manage transitions between activities, snack/lunch times, and rest periods Actively engage with campers—attendants are expected to play and interact, not observe Support a positive, inclusive environment for all campers Assist with daily set-up, clean-up, and organization of camp spaces Communicate respectfully with campers, families, and fellow staff
Qualifications:
Enjoys working with school-age children Responsible, reliable, and punctual Able to maintain structure and supervision in group settings Positive attitude and willingness to be active throughout the day Comfortable enforcing rules and expectations with children Previous experience in camps, childcare, youth programs, or recreation preferred but not required
Physical & Work Requirements:
Ability to be on your feet for extended periods Ability to actively participate in games and physical activities Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Compensation:
$13.50•15.00 per hour, based on experience Why This Role Is a
