Under the direction and supervision of the Head Cross Country and/or Track Coach, teaches running drills and form, ensuring the safety and well-being of each child. Leads warm-ups, skills, drills, and appropriately demonstrates whenever possible. Performs regular safety checks and ensures running is safe at all times. Helps to set up and clean up equipment if necessary. Arrives 15 minutes before scheduled class to familiarize self with the coaching plans. The minimum age for Cross Country Track Coach is 14 years old. The ideal candidate will be mature, responsible, and have a great attitude. Previous experience in running is preferred. The candidate should enjoy working with children and have the ability to effectively communicate with children and adults.
