Academic Personnel Analyst I - Surgery University of California, Los Angeles, United States about 4 hours ago
Location:
Los Angeles, CALIFORNIA JOB DUTIES Description This academic personnel analyst position will be responsible for faculty dossier preparation and general academic HR needs. Will be responsible for select components of dossier preparation for academic appointees for the Department of Surgery Academic Personnel Office. Includes CV formatting, solicitation of intra- and extramural evaluation letters, composition of evaluator biostatements, compiling and entering all activity on the data summary for each faculty member up for advancement. Communicate directly with faculty members and other relevant departmental personnel regarding teaching activity, research, extramural funding, and professional activity. Will assist with payroll entry, resident physician onboarding, graduate student researchers, visiting academic appointees, faculty vacation, faculty recruitments and visits. Other duties as assigned. This is a hybrid/flex work position.
Hourly Salary Range:
$26.92 - $50.86 JOB
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
Required:
Acquiring knowledge of and ability to / interpret organization and college policies and procedures which govern academic HR. Acquiring knowledge of organization, college, and departmental formal and informal policies and procedures, and understanding of variances to stated policies Acquiring knowledge of organization's human resource management system (HRMS) and other related business software programs and systems Acquiring knowledge of unit academic culture and educational goals of discipline(s) served Analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organizational and problem-solving skills Skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
