Job Description:
Develops, designs, and delivers instruction in collaboration with the course coordinator. Supports and enforces the course syllabus. Participates in student advising and mentoring and supports the development and assessment of student competencies. Engages in teaching, service, and scholarship activities that support the academic mission of the University. Grade examinations and assignments, provide timely feedback, and review evaluations with students. Contributes to the review and revision of departmental policies and procedures as needed. Identifies and recommends appropriate community agency partnerships to enhance student learning experiences. Continues development as a faculty member through advanced studies, research, and writing. Performs Point of Care Testing as required; for non-waived testing, ensure compliance with AHCA regulations, including approved competency and documented academic credentials. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to work in both a face-to-face and online teaching environment [Required]
  • Knowledge of computer based academic delivery systems [Required]
  • Ability to work with an ethnically diverse student body [Required]
Education:
  • BSN required [Masters Preferred]
Field of Study:
  • Degree from a regionally-accredited academic institution at or above the degree level of the course being taught
  • Meet the standards set by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the
Accrediting Association of Seventh-day Adventist Schools, Colleges and Universities Work Experience:
  • Professional expertise in the discipline(s) being taught [Required]
Mental Health Nursing Experience Required Additional Information:
Degree from a regionally-accredited academic institution at or above the degree level of the course being taught [Required]

    Pay Range:
