Adjunct Faculty, Psychology/Sociology WSU Tech - 3.8 Wichita, KS Job Details $675 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Student-centered approaches (student motivation techniques) Full Job Description Position Summary WSU Tech is seeking a student-focused and engaging Psychology/Sociology Instructor to teach courses within the Social Sciences discipline. The instructor will provide high-quality instruction that promotes student success, critical thinking, and real-world application of psychological and sociological concepts. Courses may be offered in-person, online, or in a hybrid format.
Compensation:
$675/credit hour

South Campus/Online Courses Essential Duties and Responsibilities Teach assigned Psychology and/or Sociology courses in accordance with approved curriculum and learning outcomes. Develop and maintain course materials, assessments, and instructional resources. Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment that supports diverse student populations. Evaluate and provide timely feedback on student assignments, projects, and examinations. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress. Utilize the institution's learning management system and instructional technologies. Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and administration. Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and college initiatives as appropriate. Comply with all institutional policies, procedures, and accreditation standards. Requirements Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in Psychology, Sociology, or a related field OR master's degree and 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline. Preferred Qualifications Previous teaching, training, tutoring, mentoring, or instructional experience. Experience with online or hybrid course delivery. Familiarity with learning management systems and educational technology. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of psychological and sociological theories, principles, and research methods. Ability to engage students through active learning strategies. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds. Commitment to student success and academic excellence.
