Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity for an experienced Special Education Teacher to make a meaningful impact within a supportive preschool environment for the 26/27 school year! This full-time contract role is ideal for passionate educators eager to work in a self-contained classroom supporting a small group of young learners. With a manageable caseload of just nine students, you'll have the time and resources to focus on individualized instruction and foster growth during a crucial stage in children's development.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Special Education Teaching certification required Experience with preschool-age children preferred Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Skilled in differentiating instruction and providing behavioral supports Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff Ability to maintain a nurturing and structured classroom environment
Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction to preschool students in a self-contained setting Develop and execute IEPs tailored to each student's unique needs Employ a variety of teaching methods and interventions to promote engagement and progress Track student growth and document all required data for compliance Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and administrators to enhance student learning Foster trusting relationships with families to support ongoing student success Uphold a safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning atmosphere This full-time position runs Monday through Friday, 7:45am-3:15pm, allowing for consistency and work-life balance, while offering the chance to be among dedicated professionals.
