7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.. Monday -
Friday Location:
Crisis Care Center The Crisis Care Center is designed to provide crisis stabilization to individuals experiencing a behavioral health and/or substance use crisis and reduce pressure on law enforcement and local emergency departments. Once the crisis has been resolved and the individual has been stabilized, they will be linked with a community mental health provider for on-going services. This position is responsible for the daily registration of all individuals seeking treatment services and involves various secretarial duties in a crisis setting. Work requires initiative and independent judgment in the handling of delegated administrative duties. Confidentiality and discretion are essential in this position.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
Register and complete intake forms for processing of individuals presenting for assessment and/or admission to the Crisis Care Center including obtaining copies of identification and any necessary paperwork to complete intake process Complete point of entry in Avatar to ensure accurate processing of individuals receiving services Act as the Crisis Care Center receptionist answering a multi-line phone system Greet visitors and callers, handle their inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs Provide community resource assistance to the public and other service providers Provide historical reference by utilizing filing and retrieval systems Make copies of correspondence and other printed material Provide secretarial support for the Crisis Care Center staff Distribute incoming mail and other material Receipt and deposit any monies collected at the Crisis Care Center (including cash and checks) Maintain the Crisis Care Centers fax machine, laser printers, photo copier, and other office equipment as needed Learn to operate new office technologies as they are developed and implemented Maintain confidentiality for all indirect/direct service in accordance with agency policies and HIPPA policies. Other special projects or duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
One year of secretarial/office experience Knowledge and experience of relevant software applications word processing and spreadsheets using Microsoft Word and Excel Preferred knowledge of community providers and services Preferred Typing Speed 40 wpm
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to comfortably communicate with consumers, employees, and the public Ability to pay attention to detail while preparing reports effectively Excellent time management skills while organizing and prioritizing numerous tasks Knowledge of modern business practices, procedures, and equipment Ability to admit clients and scan documents into the electronic health record Ability to retrieve medical records from the electronic health record and send to follow-up providers in accordance with federal laws and regulations regarding release of medical records Trained in or willing to be trained in crisis intervention, specifically Therapeutic Options
